Spring to Summer transition

As we make our way to the Summer Solstice on June 21, 2022, it’s important that we gradually adjust our rhythms to stay in balance with the upcoming season.

Easing our bodies and minds into a new chapter requires that we release the elements of Spring that no longer nourish us and cultivate new habits that will keep us healthy and vibrant in the Summer.

Summer is ruled by fire πŸ”₯ so it is hot, sharp, and light. We should aim to fill our days and our stomachs with simple sources of joy/nourishment that are cooling and stabilizing to our system.

FOOD
Swap out spicy tastes for cooling flavors. Up your intake of whole fruits and veggies.

MOVEMENT
Focus on slow and soothing activities like walking. Stay indoors during the midday sun.

MENTAL HEALTH
Take that vacation! Release the intensity of productivity to return to a sense of play.
